Apparently, due to some copyrights, the first MTV has the audio content audited accordingly to You tube. Ha-ha, ha. Never mind Folks, to match the Ying and Yang for both MTV, simple, just play both MTV together and you will get the Sheng Qi. Argh, watch it, You tube, you are losing clients. I sure would temporary audit you, ha-ha. Ah, come more, this is not a commercial blog, right. Argh, my only favorite MTV with the movie: ‘Notebook’ and the song ‘Pieces of April’ has also been removed from your site. Please don’t accept contributions from people without sincerity at these times of gloom.’ Money no enough’, a local slang from Singapore. Oh, come on, this is not the first time from some of your nice members with other intent in sharing. Pardon me if I’m too brusque.
Also pardon me, folks, the method about using poker cards in I Ching soon in another day or two. I just have to de-stress.
Feeling lethargic today, just four days into the New Year, doesn’t look good? Just can’t understand about the Gaza crisis, after the ceasefire truce expired, the Hamas started firing rockets into Israel for whatever reasons I just can’t comprehend. Another day about using the poker cards in I Ching, ok? Still having the hangover from 2008, argh.

A stock analyst and a Wall Street broker went to the races. The broker suggested to bet $10,000 on a horse. The analyst was skeptical, saying that he wanted first to understand the rules, to look on horses, etc. The broker whispered that he knew a secret algorithm for the success, but he could not convince the analyst.
"You are too theoretical," he said and bet on a horse. Surely then, that horse came first bringing him a lot of money. Triumphantly, he exclaimed: "I told you, I knew the secret!"
"What is your secret?" the analyst asked.
"It is rather easy. I have two kids, three and five year old. I sum up their ages and I bet on number nine."
"But, three and five is eight," the analyst protested.
"I told you, you are too theoretical!" the broker replied, "Haven't I just shown experimentally that my calculation is correct?!"
Two men waiting at the Pearly Gates strike up a conversation.
"How'd you die?" the first man asks the second.
"I froze to death," says the second.
"That's awful," says the first man. "How does it feel to freeze to death?"
"It's very uncomfortable at first," says the second man. "You get the shakes, and you get pains in all your fingers and toes. But eventually, it's a very calm way to go. You get numb and you kind of drift off, as if you're sleeping. How about you, how did you die?"
"I had a heart attack," says the first man. "You see, I knew my wife was cheating on me, so one day I showed up at home unexpectedly. I ran up to the bedroom, and found her alone, knitting. I rushed down to the basement, but no one was hiding there. I ran up to the second floor, but found no one there either. I went as fast as I could to the attic, and just as I got there, I had a massive heart attack and died."
The second man shakes his head. "That's so ironic," he says.
"What do you mean?" asks the first man.
"If you had only stopped to look in the freezer, we'd both be still alive."
Now to carry on with using poker cards for divinations in Yi Jing, you will have to get a set of playing cards. Kindly treat it with respect and keep it out of sight when not in use. Please do not use it for your Chinese New Year or any occasions for gambling or entertainment activities.
Further explanations of timing of the lunar months. The first card at the north is the Rat month Zi ( in this scenario, the Ace of Spade ), followed by Chou (Ten of Hearts), ignore the seven of spades which is for other purpose for the cardinal direction of North-east. Then the nine of spade would be the Yin Lunar Month.
Good, we are ready to start now.
First, remove all the twos, threes, fours and fives card and the jokers in the stack.
Now to begin, make sure you are relaxed and not under any stress. Imagine you are with a friend, and you are pouring out your worries and trouble to? Shuffle the cards as you think of the question you wanted to ask. Make it specific. You don’t ask ‘When I can be rich?’ because it might be tomorrow when you buy a lottery ticket or twenty years later. You ask ‘Can I be rich by Tomorrow?’ But before you do that, ask yourself in the heart, is it possible? If not, by logic, don’t bother, ask something else more sensible to avoid wasting your time.
When you are ready, cut the cards into two halves, and put the top under the second half. Then the first card would be the prelimary assessment by the Yi Jing of your situation. However, ha-ha, we would start it simple, taking readings from the first card which would be the centre card to your question. Ignore about the rest which I would carry on after the New Year. Now if it shows a card with Hearts or Diamonds, it is auspicious but if it shows a Spade or Club card, be wary of whatever actions you want to undertake. For the areas that the cards would portray, e.g. relationship, health, wealth, etc, I would carry on with as I said after the New Year. Not to worry, you can try this out and see if the aftermath is correct or not for the moment for any decision making. For building the circle of cards and the hexagram, after New Year Day. At the moment, just remember Red is positive and Black colour cards are negative situations. For a start, the ace always represent relationship, so for those of you looking for love in this festive season, may you get an Ace of Hearts. If you don’t get it, ha-ha, don’t worry, I will explain further about the other cards significance after New Year Day.
With the help of a fertility specialist, a 65 year old woman has a baby. All her relatives come to visit and meet the newest member of their family. When they ask to see the baby, the 65 year old mother says, "Not yet."

An extract from Taoist Hua-Ching Ni ‘s ‘The Book Of Change and The Unchanging Truth’.
‘The I Ching does not give subjective answers to your questions. Nor does it make decisions for you. Rather, it inspires you to view matter differently and make your own decision. Thus it assists your development rather than your dependence upon it.
The I Ching is too big to carry around and use each time we need to make or respond to a change. The most meticulous fortune telling system cannot help a person make good and correct responses to each situation in life, but an experienced driver or mechanic has no need to refer to an instruction booklet to operate or repair his machine. Skill comes from practice and more practice. Thus, one’s ability to respond to situations effectively is a matter of personal growth. The use and study of the I Ching assists that growth.’
Occasionally, the I Ching will respond with an answer that refers to something other than what asked. This indicates a response to your deepest and most urgent problem rather than to your more superficial question. Do not be so rigidly focused on your question that you fail to recognize a warning concerning a much more serous circumstance.’

How it was named Plum Blossoms Method or 梅花义数
Shao Kangjie was looking out his window, and noticed two sparrows fighting around a plum tree. He quickly did a calculation and predicted that the next day, a girl would climb the tree to pick flowers. Something would startle her and she would fall. She would be hurt, but not seriously. Sure enough, all this came to pass. How did Master Shao know? He used Plum Flower Yijing Calculation.
Now you will noticed that I mentioned twelve cards at the outer circle for tabulating times and what are the four extra cards doing there? Now look at the outer circle of cards as a pie with eight sectors of directions, namely, starting from east, southeast, south to north. Then take note of the cardinal cards of Northeast, Southeast, Southwest and Northwest. The remainder of the cards in the outer circle then represent the month sequence with the 3rd lunar month starting from East which is the card of the Queen of Spade followed by the card Nine of Hearts which is for 4th Lunar month and then you ignore the card of Ten of Clubs which is for another purpose and then you carry on with the Jack of Hearts as the 5th Lunar month and so forth. Just ignore the cardinal cards I mentioned for fixing the cards that represent the months.

Now to carry on with Yi Jing Divination using Poker Cards,
As you noticed there is a centre card which will gives an answer and there are eight cards surrounding it apart from another twelve in the outer circle. This is the Bagua for the eight cards in the second circle. You will notice there aren’t any cards for 2, 3, 4 and 5. This system uses the Gua or trigrams based on early heaven arrangement for divination. The eight cards which each represent a gua is also divided into eight sectors representing eight areas in life. The Directions followed the later heaven arrangement that is, looking at it, the top would be south, the bottom would be north, the left side would be east and the right side would be west. This is for fengshui purpose. In my earlier post, I mentioned that I got an Ace of Heart from my divination. Surprisingly it is shown in the south position in this divination. ESP, ha-ha. The outer circle of the cards represent the twelve lunar month of the year. This is for checking the time of events. There are another 3 cards at the side of the layout.
A story about how Mei Hua Yi Shu 梅花义数 comes about,
Story of a broken pillow.
In olden China, people sleeps on ceramic pillow. Shao Kang Jie woke up one morning and saw a rat in his room. He then took his pillow and threw it at the rat. The pillow cracked open and inside was a note that said: this pillow will be sold to Shao who will break the pillow when he throws it at a rat at a certain time, on a certain day, on a certain month and on a certain year.
This is amazing thought Shao, for he had just broke the ceramic pillow under the very circumstances and exact time as in the note. Shao decided to track down the author of the note.
This lead him to the potter who made the pillow who told him about an old man who would sit in his workroom carrying the Yi Jing under his arm. Then Shao went to the old man’s house only to be told by a young boy that his father, had died two days earlier. Thinking that he had come too late, Shao started to leave. But the son called him back and gave Shao a book that his father asked to be given to a scholar that would come to his house two days after his death. And that this scholar would be able to find where the money was buried to pay for his funeral.
That book was the Yi Jing and tucked inside the pages were the formulas for prediction. With this, Shao was able to mathematically calculate where the old man had buried his silver to pay for the funeral expenses.
